Arielle Schwartz, PhD will be teaching during Wisdom & Wellbeing Multi-Faculty Week 5: Trauma, Recovery and Somatic Intelligence  | February 8 – 15, 2025 at Blue Spirit about the following topic:

Post-Traumatic Growth: Mind-Body Tools to Foster Resilience and Awaken to your Potential

Join Dr. Arielle Schwartz to learn practical tools that facilitate a strength-based approach
to trauma recovery. Based upon her multiple books including The Complex PTSD
Workbook, Applied Polyvagal Theory in Yoga, and the award winning Post-Traumatic
Growth Guidebook, this series of experiential gatherings provides a roadmap to her
resilience-informed approach to trauma recovery. Her integrative mind-body approach
to trauma recovery brings science-backed and heart-centered practices to enhance
resilience and inspire post-traumatic growth. The intersection of somatic psychology,
polyvagal theory, and yoga will leave you feeling personally refreshed and empowered
to help your clients find liberation from the burdens of their past.
Resilience and post-traumatic growth rely upon having the opportunity to work through
difficult life experiences. The deep, inner work of healing from trauma eventually can
help us to realize that we are stronger than we previously believed. As therapists, we
foster post traumatic growth when we invite clients to take personal responsibility for the
narrative that defines their lives. If their voices are full of disappointment and
resignation, we can assist them to revise their stories until they arrive at satisfactory
conclusions that support growth after trauma. This does not mean that we can change
what happened in the past. However, we can work through the pain of the past until we
find resolutions in the here and now.
