Rachel Carlton Abrams

Rachel Carlton Abrams will be teaching during the Wisdom & Wellbeing Longevity Week happening from January 20 – 27, 2024.

Rachel is an integrative medicine physician with specialties in integrative whole health, hormones, relationships, and sexuality, and the author of several best-selling books, including BodyWise. She will show us how we can use our body intelligence to heal ourselves, our relationships, and our world.

Rachel Carlton Abrams, MD, MHS, ABoIM graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University, received her Medical Degree at the University of California San Francisco as well as a Masters Degree in Holistic Health and Medical Sciences from the University of California Berkeley. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Integrative Medicine. She is a board member of the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine since 2019 and the Acting Board Chair (AIHM.org), leading in the areas of education, DEI initiatives, and ethical leadership.

She established Santa Cruz Integrative Medicine clinic in 2008 and has been voted “Best Doctor” in Santa Cruz County by two local publications for more than a decade. In 2023, she began a new model of health care and optimal wellness care called Transformational Medicine that joins personal and community care and focuses on physical, mental, emotional, sexual, and spiritual health. She is an avid student of the world’s healing traditions and has been writing and teaching workshops around the world in the areas of Integrative and Holistic Health and Healthy Relationships for over two decades. She has published 5 books, the most recent being: BodyWise: Discovering Your Body’s Intelligence for Lifelong Health and Healing.
