Recalibrate and Recharge

To help you recalibrate each day will begin with a meditation and a ‘slow flow’ practice and in the afternoon to help you recharge a Restorative, Somatic and Yoga Nidra will bring you back to your source to nourish you. We will work from earth to sky bringing body, mind and soul back into its true essence. Everyone is welcome.

Teacher Bio

SUSAN CHOPPING
I started teaching yoga after a back injury sixteen years ago. I have been inspired by the ‘Shadow Yoga’ of Shandor Remete which combines Hatha Yoga, Tai-Chi and dance, the ‘Prana Flow’ of Shiva Rea and more recently the Restorative SATYA (somatic awareness training for yoga asana) of Tias Little. I study the I-Rest Yoga Nidra of Richard Miller and teach SUP (stand-up paddle-board) Yoga which mirrors my love of the ocean. My teaching harnesses the mind and the body with the breath and with the alignment of Iyengar, builds up slowly through waves of postures and modifications are always offered. I teach in London at The Life Centre, and on retreats on the Greek Islands and Costa Rica. I teach stressed professionals privately, people with scoliosis and injuries and will always try and meet you where you are in your practice. I have a B.A in Psychology and an MSc in Neuroscience and have published in the ‘Journal of Consciousness’. I love teaching and weave in all the wisdom that is passed onto me through many inspiring teachers to help you grow with your flow and be your ‘best you’. I speak French and Italian but a smile says much more.

She has a B.A in Psychology and an MSc in Neuroscience. The alignment of Iyengar informs her teaching and Susan teaches a Slow Flow Vinyasa, SATYA (sensory awareness training for yoga asana) which is a restorative practice lying on your back, front and sides, Mindfulness Meditation, Yoga Nidra and Restorative Yoga. Sue offers a restorative class which combines the somatics of SATYA with Yoga Nidra. She also teaches SUP (stand up paddle board) yoga.

Her teaching includes open classes, workshops, private clients who may be stressed city workers, those recovering from injuries or illness, in London and on retreats here in the UK in Studland Dorset, the Cotswolds, abroad in Europe, the Greek islands and Blue Spirit, Costa Rica. The retreats offer time and space to grow your practice and recalibrate mind, body and spirit.

The morning practice includes Meditation, asana and pranayama and the afternoon a restorative practice of Somatics and Yoga Nidra. Each retreat gives students the opportunity and time to experience various aspects of yoga, including the chakras, elements, and philosophy and much more.
