Teacher Bio

Darcy is the owner and director of two yoga studios in Toronto, Canada. She has been teaching yoga for 14 years. She has assisted and lead yoga teacher trainings and loves to provide support and mentorship to new teachers. Darcy believes that yoga helps us awaken to our true nature, our beauty and our worth. She is dedicated to helping people learn how to move beyond the frequency of doubt and fear into the frequency of trust and love in order to gain more power and perspective in their lives.

Jess Lemon has been teaching for 15 years. Passionate about learning and committed to continuing education, Jess has over 2,000 training hours in a variety of movement styles and methods, including Modo, Vinyasa, Restorative, and Yin Yoga as well as Pilates (full repertoire) and resistance training. She also teaches Mindfulness and Meditation which she has studied extensively over the years.

Jess believes that true learning happens when a person is seen and met where they are, then nurtured and encouraged on their own journey of self-discovery. She is a creative and intuitive teacher, believing that when we are truly open and attuned to each moment, life is always offering wisdom.

She currently lives in Toronto but travels frequently for adventure and teaching opportunities. She has an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in French Language and Literature from the University of Toronto and though her last name is Lemon, she is actually pretty sweet.

The path of healing brought Amanda to yoga. After spending her teens and early twenties immersed in the study of herbalism, aromatherapy, energy medicine and shiatsu massage, Amanda landed on her mat. Since 2009 she has completed 1000+ hours of training in a variety of yoga methods. Amanda’s love of learning also led her to become a certified Pilates instructor and she continues to explore movement education as a way to heal and empower both herself and her students.

Amanda comes to her mat with honesty and a sense of humour. She believes that when we meet ourselves where we’re at, we can learn to celebrate and honour the process of becoming. Amanda strives to make yoga accessible and offers her teaching as an invitation to self-exploration and inner awareness. A class with Amanda isn’t complete without a few giggles (and a lot of props!).

When she’s not leading classes in studios and on retreats, Amanda is a part-time Birth Doula, a full-time Mom, and facilitator of Yin Yoga and Modo Yoga Prenatal teacher trainings.
